Loree Pinnavaia-Kuta is an exceptional instructor and trainer. Her knowledge of the body and how it works is intuitive, and she has a perfect sense of which exercises will bring the results the client seeks. In addition, through her various studies in the fields of chiropractics, weight training and Pilates, she is able to put together exercise programs for people with chronic conditions which will allow them to achieve their personal goals without injury. I have rheumatoid arthritis, which never flared up due to any program I followed with Loree. In fact, my arthritis has never been more stable! And, my body fat dropped from 27% to 21%! I can wholeheartedly endorse Loree.

I'm a bit more fit, a bit more agile, a bit more flexible with each and every workout.
I like the results (and so does my husband).

Loree’s diagnosis was right on.

I sustained a back injury in July 2004 and was referred to Dr. Loree Pinnavaia-Kuta by a friend of a friend in July 2005. A year had passed since my injury and I continued to experience significant, daily, chronic pain. I'd endured many dr. appointments, including specialists and surgeons, and was basically informed that I should swim, use an elliptical trainer, take an assortment of medications, and see my primary physician once a month. I wasn't completely convinced this was all that could be done. I made an appointment with Loree, was impressed from the initial visit, and am very happy with the changes I'm beginning to see and feel.
Loree provides a very professional level of service and is truly compassionate about her work and clients. By offering Pilates and Chiropractic care in one location, she provides a comprehensive service. And her mat classes are fabulous! Whether a beginner, intermediate or advanced student, she challenges all levels. Thank you Loree!

I have been taking classes for over six months and the changes I feel and see are amazing. I feel stronger, limber, and refreshed. Loree is an excellent motivator; I look forward to my classes – three days a week.

I happened upon Loree at the Decathlon Club. In her class, you get a sense of her knowledge of the body mechanics and how it pertains to the whole body. She excitedly spoke of her new office, Equilibrio Pilates. I decided to give her a try. Four visits later a few more exercises which I incorporated with the physical therapists program I no longer use orthodics nor, the lifts. 99.5% of the time there is no discomfort. The 0.5% is when I take too many days off from doing my exercises.
Next, my 21 yr old daughter ended up with a painful, bulging disk in her neck while attending UC Davis. Some days had to have someone help lift her upright to get out of bed. After trying physical therapist with little improvements. I sent her to Loree. It is 2 1/4 hr drive one way for her, but it has been worth it. She can stand up straight, turn her head. Live a normal life.
The chiropractic and Pilates are perfect compliments. Loree is able to combine and utilize the education of them both to the benefit of her patients.
I am so blessed our paths crossed. She has put both these Humpty Dumpties back together again.

I was a collage athlete on a very intense program. I did not see the results that I have seen in the past year working with Loree Pinnavaia at Equilibrio Pilates. The thing I like best about Pilates is that it enhances everything you do, from aerobic exercise to sitting in a chair. Working with Loree has been great. She is very in tune with the human body. Her workouts are challenging yet rewarding. It has been a pleasure working with her!

Loree’s extensive knowledge of the human body and how it functions saved me from future years of pain.
I have known Loree since she was in Chiropractic school and was her patient for many years. About six years ago, I herniated a disk and developed a hyper-mobile sacroiliac joint. Unfortunately, Loree wasn't practicing Chiropractic at that time.
I sought help from a few doctors, who each sent me to "a great physical therapist." In the end, I saw five therapists, and all but one of them re-injured me. (One of the most highly recommended physical therapists had my exact condition and thought she'd be able to fix me "for sure." Didn't happen. It left me with sciatica and a leg that would drag every time my disk flared up.)
Sadly, I endured the medical mill for a few years before Loree opened her Pilates business. As soon as she was certified, I was her first patient. I drove down from San Francisco every weekend for a year and a half to receive excellent, quality care.
With Loree's guidance, I was finally able to get over the hump of recurring flare ups and start feeling like my old self. The years of chronic pain have subsided and I am able to sit for long periods again.
I can't thank Loree enough for giving me my life back!

I came to Equilibrio Pilates after having unsuccessfully tried many
different physical therapy programs for my spinal disk problems. At
Equilibrio Pilates, Loree was able to create a long-term program for me
that greatly reduced my pain and discomfort, changed my daily habits so
that my injury didn't flair up as much and strengthened the appropriate
muscles, taking tension of my neck and allowing me to quickly go back
to
my regular routine.

What I love about Equilibrio is that it urges me to go just a little further than my current fitness level so that I grow. I like the attentiveness to form and the awareness of not strengthening places where my body is compensating with poor body mechanics. Instead Loree helps me to properly train through it. Preventatively it’s wonderful!
Loree is easy to work with and has lots of new ideas in her bag of tricks.

After fairly regular and rigorous hiking for about 8 months, I wanted to do something that would focus on my core muscles and upper body. I am a former professional ballet dancer and have spondylolisthesis (a fracture of the lower lumbar, fairly common for athlete, especially gymnasts and dancers), and it is critical that I keep the muscles which hold my back in place strong. I began with the mat classes, and am now up to a machine class and two mat classes per week; I love both the classes themselves and what they have done for me. I feel I have slowly transformed my body, and continue building strength and flexibility – I have never been seriously overweight, but have gone through relatively sedentary periods; I am 48 years old, and don’t think I have looked this sculpted in decades, and I feel wonderful! Loree’s classes are always different and easy to follow, and being a chiropractor specializing in rehabilitation is a tremendous plus for her clients. I highly recommend Pilates for anyone of any age, and I especially recommend Loree, knowing firsthand that the teacher often makes or breaks the class.

Can I just say Loree has a wonderful ability to access and correct a
injury in one visit. She educates you and gives you preventative
customized exercises to take home to avoid re-injury. My job involves a high
level of activity and movement... Loree gets me back to pain free movement in record speed without ever having to miss a class or photo session.

I have been working with Loree to use Pilates as a tool to assist in my scoliosis during the past several months. I have found the process to be of great value both physically and mentally. I have found Loree to be a joy to work with, and highly recommend her services to anyone interested in Pilates and also anyone with health issues for which her services are applicable. She is a true health care professional who has her clients well being in mind.

Loree is an amazing teacher who has can motivate and train individuals of all skill levels. Pilates is a necessary addition to everyone’s workout and Equilibrio is the best place to experience it.
